Why Berkshire Pigs?
On our farm, Berkshires aren’t just livestock—they’re part of our daily life. These pigs have such gentle, curious personalities. They love to root in the soil, explore the pasture, and bask in the sunshine. We often find them playing together or coming over to greet us when we walk the fields. They’re intelligent, social animals, and giving them space and freedom makes all the difference.
We raise our Berkshires on open pastures, never using antibiotics or hormones, because we believe in honest food and healthy animals. Their calm, happy lives translate into incredible pork—rich in flavor, beautifully marbled, and tender. Every bite tells the story of care, respect, and the connection between farmer, animal, and land.
A Little History
The Berkshire breed originated in England over 300 years ago and quickly became famous for its exceptional meat quality. Known as the “wagyu of pork,” Berkshires were prized by royalty for their rich flavor and fine texture. Today, they remain one of the most sought-after heritage breeds, celebrated for their marbling and taste that modern commercial pork simply can’t match.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting a way of farming that values integrity and tradition. We’re proud to share the goodness of our Berkshires with you.
